Dehesa de Extremadura Iberian ham (acorn)
The Iberico ham comes from the black Iberian pig breed. This ham is from free-range pigs that roam oak forests along the border between Spain and Portugal.
These pigs are feed with oak groves, herbs, acorns and roots. The exercise and the diet has a significant impact on ham flavor.
This ham is cured in a traditional way with the fresh and dry air from Sierra de Monfragüe.
